Soelu Studio

Brand website

In line with Soelu’s transition from online yoga to physical studios, I designed and developed a scalable, easy-to-manage website that extends the brand’s tone and identity into its new offline presence.

  1. Planning
The project began with collaborative discussions to align on direction and priorities. With a CMS already planned, we focused on understanding the studio team’s existing workflow and identifying operational pain points. These insights shaped the overall structure and decision-making throughout the project.
  2. Design
The design phase focused on translating Soelu’s established brand identity into a physical studio context. Rather than redefining the brand, the goal was to refine its expression so the new offline presence felt both distinct and consistent.
  3. Development
Development centered on building a clear, well-structured foundation that could support future growth. Emphasis was placed on clarity, maintainability, and collaboration, ensuring the site could be understood and extended beyond its initial implementation.
  4. Operation
Operational considerations guided decisions across the project, with a strong focus on long-term use. The site was structured so that daily updates and ongoing changes could be handled smoothly as part of regular studio operations.

What they needed?

  • Establish a new offline studio identity while keeping the core Soelu brand essence

  • Maintain a refined, feminine tone consistent with the existing brand image

  • Create a scalable site structure to support future expansion

  • Reduce developer dependency by introducing an easy-to-manage CMS

  • Improve performance and maintainability for long-term, stable operation

How I approached?

Jamstack workflow optimization

Automation

The site was built with Astro and microCMS, automated through GitHub Actions and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. This setup enables content updates to be deployed automatically without developer involvement, significantly reducing release time and ongoing maintenance costs.

UI design aligned with brand tone

Branding

Building on Soelu’s established identity, the design translates its calm, elegant tone into the physical studio experience. Soft light, generous spacing, and a clean palette convey comfort and quality while connecting online and offline experiences.

Scalable and maintainable code structure

Architecture

Using Astro’s component-based architecture, pages were modularized for reusability and flexibility. The data layer was decoupled from presentation, allowing independent updates to design or content as the brand evolves.
